Haley & Russell - Wedding Highlight Film - A Black Fox Farms Wedding in Cleveland, TN

Ok. If you've never been to a wedding before, Haley and Russell can show you how it's done. Their December wedding at Black Fox Farms in Cleveland, Tennessee was absolutely AMAZING! Both the ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous event barn at Black Fox Farms, and it was a packed house! Ladies and gentlemen, this thing was standing-room only due to the huge number of beloved family and friends that came out to support Haley and Russell! It was definitely an awesome sight to see, and you'll know exactly what we're talking about after you watch their highlight film!

Haley and Russell are truly best friends, through and through. They met during college at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (you'll hear how in the film), and they haven't looked back since. We had the absolute best time getting to know them, and we wish them the very best for many years to come! Haley and Russell, thank you SO MUCH for letting us be a part of your once-in-a-lifetime day! We hope you enjoy the film!

It's not very often you get to tell a story like these two have...

Mario is from Africa, and Haley is from TN. You don't see a couple like this very often, but these two were made for each other! Watch the video and see how they met.

We're honored to be filming their upcoming wedding in October 2013!!!!

Haley & Mario - Thanks for letting us tag along at Disney World! We had an absolute blast!!!!

THE NEW NICHOLAS & KEATON

WE'VE BEEN WORKING FOR MONTHS.... AND NOW WE ARE PUMPED TO ANNOUNCE....

THE NEW NICHOLAS & KEATON
(we're sorry this is a long blog post, but we want to recognize a lot of people because we're truly thankful for everyone who played a part in making this happen...)
We have had the awesome opportunity to work with the AMAZING Kate Moore Creative over the past few months on new branding, logos, websites, business cards, collateral, etc. We can't say enough about Kate Moore. She not only does an crazy good job at designing things, but we found that she also does something that many people don't do these days... LISTEN. We looked around for months at different designers, branding firms, etc and when we got the chance to talk to Kate in person, it really was like a breath of fresh air! Kate asked us questions, got to know us, and when she asked us what kind of music we listened to, we knew she was the right person for us. Of course we answered with a crazy random list of: 30 Seconds to Mars, NEEDTOBREATHE, Snow Patrol, Grace Potter, Ellie Goulding, Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood (Zack would tell you I should have put her first on this list...),  Drew Holcomb, .... and the list went on for quite some time!

Kate was able to take our ideas and mold them into what you see today. It's fun, fresh, edgy, epic, kinda manly, and incorporates our bowtie. We LOVE the bowtie stamp. You'll start to see it popping up everywhere now!

If you're looking for an AWESOME designer local to Knoxville, check out Kate Moore. We really can't say enough about her work. She is AMAZING. Thank you Kate Moore for an awesome logo!!! We love it!

Here's a little more of Kate's work on our business cards...

Now, about those crazy funny pictures....

We wanted something that showed OUR personalities! We're two brothers who love to have a good time. We are totally fine with being oddballs in a group if it means making the others IN the group laugh. It's not that we like to be the center of attention, but we just like for everyone to have a good time! And if that means wearing a tiger or bald eagle ( 'MERICA) on your shirt, then so be it!

So we got these awesome t-shirts and had the super awesome Kristin Peddicord of KLP Photography . Ok ok, so we have a little love obsession with KLP Photography. Not only is she Nicholas's wife, but she takes AMAZING wedding photos. We stole her skills for an hour one day and went around the little town of Harriman, TN and took some of these crazy funny shots. Here's a few of our favorites!!! Thank you again Kristin! We wouldn't be where we are today without you!
You complete us.

Thank you again KLP PHOTOGRAPHY for capturing OUR personalities! YOU ROCK!!!

Now we also launched a new website... Check it out at www.nicholaskeaton.com

A big shout-out to Promise Tangeman and her team at SITEHOUSE designs! We love our new site!!!

So, with all that being said....

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to our success so far. It's been an amazing year. To think that NICHOLAS & KEATON was a twinkle in our eye just a year ago today is surreal.
Thank you...

Kristin Peddicord - We wouldn't exist without you. You set us on fire to get NAK going and we are forever thankful. Thanks for letting us steal your gear. Thanks for helping us avoid the potholes in the road that you might have stepped in. Thanks for giving us hope and inspiration, even when everything seems a bit overwhelming. You are amazing. We love you.

Kate Moore - You took our hopes and dreams and put them on paper. Your ideas and creativity know no bounds. We absolutely love your work and you have created 2 forever walking referrals. We will shout your name from the rooftops. Thank you again for our awesome logo.

Debra Peddicord (our mom) - Thanks for making us. We not only love your potato soup, chocolate chip pie, peanut butter cake, and your christmas gifting abilities... but we also love you. A lot. A WHOLE lot. Thank you for everything you've ever done. We could write until I fingers bled, but we can sum it up in a few words...
We love you.

Steve Peddicord (our dad) - Thanks for hooking up with mom. We wouldn't be here without ya.

To all our brides & grooms - You guys rock! We are so pumped that you have allowed us to share such a special day in your lives. We look forward to hanging out, taking trips, and eating cake with each of you. We love you all.

We hope you all love the new website, logo, etc as much as we do!

"Call Me Maybe" PARODY - Pink Bridal Show Knoxville by NICHOLAS & KEATON

" so here's my number... call me maybe..."

Everybody knows the lyrics right?

You've seen the Harvard Baseball Team do it... You've seen the Muppets do it... And most famously you've seen the US Olympic Swim Team do it....
NOW... The Knoxville Pink Bridal Show does it!!!!!

Yes folks that's right! We had the lucky opportunity to make a parody of the infamous "Call Me Maybe" song by Carly Rae Jepsen! We got all the fashion show brides, the Pink Bride staff, the audience and all the vendors to join in!

A BIG THANK YOU to Olivia Harris (the model bride in the video) & Lisa Cacace-Vizer at Wedding Wonderland. Olivia (she's GORGEOUS isn't she?!) did an AMAZING job rocking it out on the runway in one of Lisa's dresses from Wedding Wonderland! Lisa was also AMAZING to work with, and even let us shoot some footage from backstage before the brides went on stage!

A BIG THANK YOU to Fred, Kara, Anna, and all the other Pink Bride staff! You guys did an amazing job and we are SO blessed to be able to work with AWESOME wedding professionals like ya'll!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!!!!!

PS - Don't forget to check out the outtakes at the end and AWESOME dance moves by Andrew Holloway of Ogle Entertainment!

Here's a highlight of some of the AWESOME vendors included in the video:

Rebecca & Andrew - A Fairytale Wedding in Pigeon Forge TN

Nicholas & Keaton
www.nicholaskeaton.com
www.weddingvideographyknoxville.com
www.knoxvilleweddingvideography.com

Rebecca and Andrew have the COOLEST story ever! OK... here's the Nicholas & Keaton recap short story version:

Andrew's pastor (who was the officiant at their wedding), told Andrew that he just HAD to meet Rebecca. He told Andrew they were going to get married one day. Andrew didn't believe him. Andrew and Rebecca didn't know each other at the time. Andrew's pastor asked Rebecca over to their house for dinner. Andrew was invited as well. They met. They ate. They fell in love! The rest is history!

Ok, so we're not the best story tellers in text form, but we hope you love Rebecca & Andrews film as much as we do! Actually, we sneak peeked it to Kristin Peddicord of KLP Photography (www.klpphotography.com)... and she's still crying a little! (Tears of joy!)

Rebecca and Andrew had an AMAZING wedding location at the Mainstay Suites in Pigeon Forge. Mainstay Suites?? YEP. It's one of the coolest and most underrated wedding venues in East Tennessee. It had everything you could want, not to mention people could just walk to their rooms after the reception! How cool!

Thank you Andrew and Rebecca for letting us capture your special day!!!!

Nicholas & Keaton - Knoxville Wedding Videography - www.nicholaskeaton.com

Talk about a heck of a wedding! Man o man... Porsha and Curtis went ALL OUT! Seriously, this was one of the coolest weddings we have been to in a long time. They had everything covered with southern wedding charm, from the mason jars to the hay bales, it was a true southern wedding through and through. Porsha and Curtis were married on their property on Douglas Lake in Sevierville, TN. Their property was an awesome place for a wedding (you guys should rent it out!!!). We got to work with the fantastic Knoxville wedding photographer Kristin Layne Peddicord of KLP Photography (which we might add was PERFECT for this wedding!). Oh, and we also might add that you've probably seen Porsha before, as she is one the 103.5 WIMZ Rock Babes this year! We had the best time! Hope ya'll like the video!

(Wedding) Food for Thought

If I could tell you what the most important part of your wedding day would be...It wouldn't be the dress...It wouldn't be the reception...It wouldn't be the food...It wouldn't be the flowers, location, pictures, or even the honeymoon afterward.

The most important part of your wedding day is that it's your wedding. No one else's.

Your wedding should be a reflection of you and the love of your life. If you want to have your wedding in your front yard, do it.  If you love cornhole, play cornhole at the reception.  If you want a chocolate fountain, have a chocolate fountain! If you want to wear flip flops during the ceremony, forget the haters and wear the flippy floppys.

Your wedding day should tell your story of love, share your perspective of your relationship, and set the stage for your life with your husband/wife.  Your guests should be able to see your story through your wedding day.

Everything from the location, to the music, to the food, to the colors, to the date, to the wardrobes, and everything in between....it should all tell the story of you and your love for one another.

You only get one wedding. Make it yours.

Something To Think About - Love, Redefined

Love. Honesty.

Most people will agree that these two things go hand in hand. If you don't, realize that real quick.

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again: You have to love yourself before you can truly love anyone else. You have to accept who you are, accept your own strengths and weaknesses, accept your hopes and dreams, accept your values, accept your wants and needs, accept your personality, accept your appearance, accept your abilities, accept your faults, and accept your fears.

Understanding who you are as a person is the first step in discovering true love within yourself. Being honest with who you are as a person is the second step. Embracing who you are as a person is the third.

When it comes to loving others, it's simple: repeat the above steps, but for someone other than yourself. Find out who they are: What makes them special? What makes them laugh? What makes them cry? What separates them from the crowd? What makes them smile? What drives them? What do they believe? Why do they believe that? Who do they love? Why do they love them?

True love can't be defined. It simply comes from every possible reason, or even no reason at all. When you truly love someone, or yourself, you'll know. You'll know 100%, and hopefully, you won't ever look back. And once that happens, you're that much closer to being happy.

-------

Of course, no love would be possible without honesty. Like I said, you first have to be honest with yourself.

When I say being honest with yourself, I mean keeping true to your beliefs, actions, words, lies, thoughts, feelings, loves, fears, heartaches, passions, emotions, dreams, wants, needs, prayers, and hopes.

When I say keeping true to all those things, I mean don't be a hypocrite. You only have one life, so what's the point of going through it if you're just pretending? Pretending to be happy when you're not, pretending to love when you don't, pretending to not have feelings when you do, pretending to be dreaming when you aren't, etc.

If you feel it, show it. If you want it, take it. If you love her, tell her. If you need it, get it. If you hope it, dream it. If you hear it, consume it. If you like it, do it. If you think it, write it. If you believe it, trust it. If you love him, hold him. If you miss it, reminisce it. If you talk it, walk it. If you regret it, forget it. If you hate it, protest it. If you catch it, run with it. If you fail it, prevail it. If you drop it, regain it. If you love it, live it.

Be true. Be honest. Be faithful. Be loyal. Be loud. Be proud. Be humble. Be responsible. Be you.

If you don't love yourself, you'll never love anyone else. And what's a life without love?...Honestly?

Something To Think About

A few years after your wedding, say maybe 5, 10, 20, or even 30 years down the road...How do you plan on remembering your special day?

Maybe you and your husband will be telling stories from that day, trying to remember who gave you which gifts, or perhaps looking at a photo album of the entire wedding day pictures? Maybe you scrounge through the guest book and attempt to match faces with all the signatures? Maybe you drive back to the wedding location and reminisce for a few moments?

But is that going to be enough? Pictures? A guest book? Will you be able to fully remember the look on his face when you said, "I do?"

Many brides believe that a photographer is a 100% necessary part of their wedding day. Personally, I agree! 100%. Must. Have. Pictures. However, some might say that  a videographer is an optional extra to the wedding. Maybe it's one of those "if-we-can-afford-it" type of things? I'm here to clear the air ladies and gentlemen. I know from first-hand experience that the lack of a wedding videographer can be the biggest regret of your entire wedding day.

When my brother got married a few years ago, he and his wife decided against having a videographer. They wanted to save a little extra cash for the honeymoon. I understand. However, three years later....that's the ONLY change they would make to their wedding if they could do it all over again! Seriously.

Yes, the pictures last forever. But, how will you remember getting ready that morning? How will you remember the excitement in the air when he kisses you at the altar? How will you remember all the moments in between the posing-for-pictures? That's where we come in.

As wedding videographers, we will capture every movement and moment of your wedding day. From the hair and makeup, to the first look, to the dressing of the tuxedos and dress, to the ceremony, to the reception, and everything in between....we'll be there.

Many years down the road, we don't want you straining to remember every detail of your wedding day only through pictures, gifts, or guest books. We want you to live it all over again. We want you to feel the excitement in the air, the love in the room, the laughs, the looks, the sounds, and the scenery.

Don't strain yourself by trying to remember what it was like that day....just get it on film, and LIVE your wedding day all over again.

It's your day. It's your only day. Once in a lifetime day. Don't look back with regrets.

Get it on film.

Much love,
-Nicholas & Keaton

Emily & Chase - Rockwood, TN Wedding Trailer

Director's Note: Holy moly... WE LOVE THIS COUPLE! Emily & Chase... you guys rock our faces off. Seriously.

Emily & Chase had a beautiful wedding day in Rockwood, TN at First Baptist Church and an afternoon reception at Grande Vista Bay Clubhouse. They couldn't have picked a better day to get married. Beautiful weather, wonderful friends and family, and a dazzling video team getting everything on film (ha!). Emily and Chase decided to do the "First Look" before their actual wedding ceremony, which saved them a TON of time after the wedding (taking pictures and all). They had an AMAZING photographer, Kristin Layne Peddicord or KLP Photography (who I know from experience LOVES a couple who takes advantage of a "first look".... it really does make your day less stressful, more enjoyable, and you get better pictures out of it!). Once we got to the reception at Grande Vista Bay, we set up a VIDEO BOOTH for all of Emily & Chases' guests to say a few words of inspiration to the wedding couple on film. It went great! (check out THAT video on our Vimeo page). Needless to say, Emily and Chase really went all out on their wedding reception. They had an awesome DJ - Firehouse DJ (Ryan Ladd), who we might add is our PREFERRED DJ vendor. Ryan - you da man. Emily & Chase - we had a blast !!!!! Hope you love this video as much as we do!

When most people think of weddings, they think of love. True love, that is....Birds chirping, violins playing in the background, the first dance at the reception, bottles of champagne popping, rose petals down the aisle....etc.

Given, that's what weddings are all about, right? I mean, weddings are all about true love...when soul mates join forces for eternity, and make a life-long commitment to their counterpart. I can't begin to explain the happiness that fills the air on a wedding day. It gives me chill bumps just thinking about it.

Believe me, I LOVE weddings. And the most amazing part is seeing true love come together in its youngest and purest form. However, I see it in a slightly different perspective. I see the wedding day as a once-in-a-lifetime event. It's the day that sets the foundation for the rest of your life with your loved one. It's a single day where friends and family gather to celebrate the love of the bride and groom.

My question to you is: How much of your special day are you going to remember?

The first dance? The rings? The reception? The look on his face when you say, "I do"? The flower girl? The dress? The music? The audience?

How about this: Instead of experiencing the wedding day just once, imagine if you could capture all of those memories and keep them forever....

That's what we do.

At Nicholas & Keaton, we capture not only the first dance, but all the laughing before and after the dance. We capture not only the picture-taking, but all the moments in-between the pictures. We capture not only the look on his face when you say "I do," but all the love that fills the air at that exact moment.

We capture the hair and make-up sessions, the dressing of the tuxedos, the first dance, the last dance, the ceremony, and everything in-between. We capture not only your wedding, but your entire wedding day.

Let us turn your once-in-a-lifetime day into memories that will last every day for a lifetime.

We are Nicholas & Keaton. We can't wait to meet you.

Ok everyone, you've seen a few videos and pictures, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Prepare yourselves for an unbelievable journey of pictures, videos, thoughts, inspirations, dreams, experiences, stories, and everything in between. Come join us, you won't regret it.

Much love,
Nicholas & Keaton
